Our point of view

Four points of focus

The questions facing education are connected. Kompass looks at the whole picture through four points of focus.

Lead

Set purpose, ownership, red lines and review points for AI use.

Teach

Give educators practical ways to use approved tools while protecting professional judgement, safeguarding and meaningful learning.

Learn

Help students question AI outputs, protect their own work and make responsible choices about when to use it.

Build

Turn a defined workflow into a focused tool that people can test, use and improve.

AI second

People keep ownership of the first thought, the first word and the first decision. AI can then help with research, questions, analysis, refinement and creation.

That is what we mean by AI second: a way of working that keeps human judgement, relationships and purpose at the centre.
